Ratified en 1998 and 1999.

1999

  • Member of the binational panel established under NAFTA’s Chapter XIX for the Review of the Final Determination of the Antidumping Investigation issued by the Mexican Trade Ministry on the imports of High Fructose Corn Syrup from the United States of America (File No: MEX-98-1904-01). I also acted as chairman of the Panel

1998

  • Appointed by the Rules Division of the World Trade Organization (WTO) to the roster of panelists charged with adjudicating anti-dumping and countervailing duty disputes for the WTO.

1998

  • Appointed by the Government of Mexico to the roster of experts charged with evaluating the standards of compliance of the labor laws regarding working conditions and labor security according to the terms of the parallel side agreement on labor cooperation of NAFTA. Appointment made in August.

1996:

  • Member of the binational panel established under NAFTA’s Chapter XIX for the Review of the Final Determination of the Antidumping Investigation issued by the Mexican Trade Ministry on the imports of rolled steel plate originating from Canada (File MEX-96-1904-02). I also acted as chairman of the Panel

1995-1996:

  • Member of the binational panels established under NAFTA’s Chapter XIX the Review of the Final Determinations of the Antidumping Investigations issued by the Mexican Trade Ministry on the imports of flat coated steel plate products (File MEX- 94-1904-01) and the imports of rolled steel plate products (File MEX-94-1904-02), from the United States. I also acted as chairman in both panels.

Since 1994:

  • Appointed by the Government of Mexico to the roster of panelists charged with adjudicating anti-dumping and countervailing duty disputes under Chapter XIX of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
