About Us

Who we are:

NetAmericas is a Network dedicated to foster the exchange of information and encourage critical thinking and research on the processes of hemispheric integration.

Who forms this Network:

NetAmericas is open to individuals with a record of scholarly research and publications relating to trade policy and economic integration in the Americas.

Objectives:

Our main objectives are to:

  1. Enhance transparency and connectivity among the academic communities of the Americas and promote the exchange of information on existing trade-related research projects and their findings.

  2. Promote cooperation and joint efforts among researchers in different countries of the Americas.

  3. Encourage research on the main trade-related issues in the Americas.

Structure and Organization:

NetAmericas has a Coordinating Committee, composed of scholars from throughout the Americas, responsible for setting the Network’s priorities and defining its activities.

Work Program:

  1. Maintain an ongoing dialogue among the members of the academic communities.
     

  2. Organize a conference on an annual basis on integration in the Americas.
     

  3. Host discussions on FTAA related research.
     

  4. Enhance communication among members and provide them with access to information on their projects, studies, and activities.
