ASIES announced the availability of four new working papers on: Biodiversity, FTA with USA, Investment and development in Central America. 

Publication edited by Sherry Stephenson (member of NetAmericas),     Christopher Findlay and Soonhwa Yi. The book is entitled "Services Trade Liberalization and Facilitation" and is published by the Asia Pacific Press.

Fundación Carolina” opened a scholarship program for a course in Regional Integration and Foreign Economic Affairs. Program will be directed by Ramon Torrent and co-directed by Roberto Bouzas (member of NetAmericas).

ASIES announced its third international and high level course: "Reto laboral para Centroamérica: La vinculación entre comercio y cláusulas sociales y códigos de conducta"

On June 18, 2002 NetAmericas hosted a Trade Seminar on "Challenges on Key Issues for Modern Trade Agreements" With the participation of a number of recognized trade policy experts from the Americas, as well as distinguished representatives from the academic community, who made presentations and lead the discussion on the following topics: Improving Dispute Settlement Mechanism, Macroeconomic Coordination Challenges to Regional Integration, Agriculture and Services. ASIES  Announced final research results of its new phase of the Project: "Centroamérica en la Economía Mundial del Siglo XXI"

Red Mercosur announced a new "Mercosur Foreign Direct Investment Portal" available in its website.  The purpose of this portal is to provide useful tool for researchers, Governments, and the private sector.
